MOYCARKEY BORRIS GAA CLUB NOTES 10th June 2018

Senior Club Fixtures

Our seniors had a good win over Silvermines in the County League in Dolla on Friday night. Next up is the semi final of the Cahill cup against Upperchurch Drombane.

Our Junior A team play Sarsfields this Wednesday night at 7.45 in Littleton.

Juvenile fixtures

Congratulations to our under 14 team who travelled to Newbridge Kildare to compete in the Regional Feile against teams from Kildare , Derry and Mullinavat  Kilkenny. The lads competed very well and had a very enjoyable experience.

This Thursday night our under 14A  team  play Holycross at 7pm and our under 12A team play Durlas og both in Littleton.

Coner  Kennedy Tournament

Our local under 14 tournament takes place Saturday 16th  June in Littleton .First match  takes  place at 2  with the cup and shield final fixed for 4.30. Please come along to the GAA pitch and support the boys.

Moycarkey Borris Cul Camp

This years cul camp takes place in Moycarkey Gaa pitch on Monday 2nd July. All children from under 6s up to 13years are eligible to attend. Online registration is now open or text name and gear size to 0863190653

Moycarkey Borris Lip Sync

An information night is being held on Friday 15th June at 8pm in the horse and Jockey Hotel.We are encouraging anyone over 16 to attend .Looking forward  to  your  support on the night

Moycarkey Borris Ladies Football and Camoige Club.

Our u12A camogie team defeated Brian Borus in their last league match. Our u12 ladies football second team were beaten by Silvermines in their quarter final match.

 Well done to Sarah Corcoran, representing Two Mile Borris National School, who played for the Tipperary Cumann Na mBunscoil camogie team at half time at the Tipperary v Clare Munster Senior hurling match.

County Poc Fada competition

Congratulations to Kyle Shelly on winning the County Final in Knockshegowan mountains .He now goes on to respresent club and county this sat in the Michael Cusack centre in the Burren Co Clare.

 

Tipperary County Minors

 

Congratulations to Max Hackett, Darren Flood, Jack Morrissey and Kevin Hayes who all played a part in Tipperarys win over Clare on Sunday. A win may not be enough for Tipp as their fate now rests with other results  next weekend.

Senior Club Fixtures

Our Junior B team lost to Boherlahan  on Friday evening  while  our senior  team had a comprehensive  win  over  Killenaule  in  the county  league.

Juvenile fixtures

Best  of  luck to  all our  juvenile  players  who are  sitting   junior  and leaving  cert  examinations  in the  next  couple  of  weeks.

Both our under 12 teams  will have  hurling  fixtures  in  the  next  week.

Under 6 training continues every Saturday at 11am in Littleton. All new children welcome.

Membership 2018

Membership for 2018 season is now overdue .It  can be paid to Senior club secretary Michele McKelvey or Juvenile club registrar Mary Shelly.The membership rates are as follow s Juvenile  30,Minor 30 ,Adult player 50,Family (2 adults and 2 boys) 70.Note each additional boy is 15.Non players/Mentors 40.

 

Moycarkey Borris Ladies Football and Camoige Club.

Commiserations to our Junior A Ladies  who  where defeated by Galtee Rovers n the County final Friday evening in Ballylooby.

Our under 14 camoige team  had two good wins over Gortnahoe  and  Brian Borus and now face Portroe in the 14C County semi final.

Our u12b ladies football team were defeated by Brian Borus in the league. Thanks to Cashel camogie for the two challenge matches on Saturday last for our u12 camogie teams.

 

Tipperary County Minors

Congrats to Max Hackett, Kevin Hayes and Jack Morrissey who played a big part in Tipperarys win over Cork on Sunday in Semple Stadium  and also to  Darren Flood who is on the minor panel .Best wishes to all 4 again next Sunday as they take on Waterford  in Limerick.
