Moycarkey Borris 11/09/19

Senior  Fixtures

Our seniors played Borrisoleigh on Saturday Sept 7th in Holycross in the senior championship and came away with a 3 point win. While Borrisoleigh were without key players Moycarkey finished the stronger team and will take a lot of positives from this game.

Next up is the Mid quarter final against Loughmore in Templetouhy next Sunday evening at 5.30.All support would be appreciated.

Our intermediate footballers play Cashel in littleton Tuesday evening at 8pm.

Juvenile Fixtures

Pride of place this week goes to our under 16 hurlers. They contested the B Mid Final against a much fancied Drom side in littleton on Saturday. The game itself was excellent with both teams playing some great Hurling but moycarkey never gave up and stuck with Drom until the final whistle. They took the lead in the last quarter and showed great skill and determination to keep it.. Cathal Corcoran accepted the cup on behalf of the team much to the delight of the crowd. Next up is the county semi final while the 16s also await the fixture for their Mid football final.

Our 8s travelled to killenaule where they had a very enjoyable morning and got some great photos with the Liam McCarthy Cup. Thanks to killenaule for their hospitality.

Our under 10s travelled to Borrisoleigh for a Hurling tournament on Saturday morning. Thanks to Borrisoleigh for a great mornings hurling and hard luck to the red team who were defeated in the shield final.
