MOYCARKEY BORRIS GAA CLUB NOTES 17th/06/18

Senior Club Fixtures

Our seniors took part in the Johnstown tournament Friday evening where they lost to the Fenians.

The Cahill cup semi against Upperchurch was played Tuesday gone in Littleton. The next round of the county league is also fixed for next Sunday morning at home to Templederry.

Our Minor A team play Thurles Sarsfields this Thursday at 6pm in Thurles.

Juvenile fixtures

Our under 6s/8s and 10s were all away last weekend playing matchs.

Under 12A team had a good win over Durlas og last Tuesday and will now play JK Brackens in the next round.

Congratulations to our under 14s who hosted our Conor Kennedy tournament last Saturday in Littleton. Teams from Killenaule , Ballingarry  ,Naas, Fermoy, Clonmel og and Arravale all participated in the tournament. It was a very enjoyable afternoon with both the shield final and the cup final taking place at 6pm.Denis Kennedy on behalf of the Kennedy family presented Moycarkey with the shield and Naas with the cup. It was a  great success and to add to the occasion young Bill Hennessey received the cup on behalf of Naas and was very proud as Bill said   Coner was a great friend of his Grandad. Thanks to everyone who made the day a hugh success.

Our under 16 team play their football mid semi final Monday evening the 2nd July.

Moycarkey Borris Cul Camp

This years cul camp takes place in Moycarkey Gaa pitch on Monday 2nd July. All children from under 6s up to 13years are eligible to attend. Online registration is now open or text name and gear size to 0863190653

Moycarkey Borris Ladies Football and Camoige Club.


Our u12 camogie team defeated Toomevara in the county semi final and now play in county final in the next week. Our u12A ladies football team defeated Clonmel Commercials in county quarterfinal and now play Fethard in county semi final. Best to the girls in both matches. u11 and U14 ladies football and 13 camogie summer league will begin shortly.

Our U 14s ladies football team had two challenge games against Templemore and Fethard in preparation for Feile Peil na nOg in Navan on 29th June.

Thanks to all the sponsers for all the club gear for the girls. Tracey Darmody (Scallywags) sponsored a new set of jerseys. Joe Taxis  sponsored new gear bags ,Eddie Callahan livestock haulage sponsored training tops, Brendan and Vincent Stapelton sponsored socks and Eoin and Siobhan Sheridan sponsored shorts. Also a hugh thank you to parents and friends for their contributions towards the girls. It is all very much apprerciated .

Congratulations to our ladies who won the Tomas Bourke tournament in Gortnahoe last Sunday.The girls came from a hugh deficit to go on and win the final against St Pats.Thanks to Gortnahoe for their hospitality.

Munster Poc Fada competition

Congratulations to Kyle Shelly who travelled to the Michael Cussack center in Clare for the munster final. Kyle had a great morning winning the title in 15 shots.

 

Tipperary County Minors

 

Congratulations to Max Hackett, Darren Flood, Jack Morrissey and Kevin Hayes who now look forward to a Munster final against Limerick on July 1st.A fantastic achievement for the club and a great occasion for the boys and their famalies,
