Moycarkey Borris Notes 29th July

Fixtures

Commissersations to our Senior Hurling team who were defeated by Loughmore in the first round of Senior Hurling on a scoreline of 0.17 to 1.22. They now focus their attention on rd 2 which is to be played in Templederry against Kilruane on Sat 8th Aug at 3pm.

Our football panel is out this weekend against Moyle Rovers in Golden at 3pm Sunday 2nd August.

Our Minors recorded a draw against Gortnahoe last Wednesday evening and now play Loughmore this Wednesday in Castleiney at 8pm.

Congratulations to our 16A team who had a great win over Drom in the first round. They now play Holycross in Rd 2.

Our under 14 team also had a good win in their first round against Gortnahoe with Jack Hayes scoring a flurry of goals.

The under 12 group had two teams out this week with the first team losing out to Moyne and the 2nd team defeating Gortnahoe..

Congratulations to all the boys and girls who participated in the Gaa Cúl Camps. We had 112 children in attendance in what was a very successful week.

The 2020 club championship will be cashless and pre sold tickets only with priority given to players. Any queries please contact club secretary Michelle McKelvey 0868945809.

The county board draw is back up and we encourage all members to join as this is a major income for the club. This can be done through any of the promoters or club committee and can be purchased by either cash, cheque, direct debit or online by telephone gaa office 050422702 or 0866056539 or you can call into GAA office through entrance at back door.

Our club lotto is also back up and running every Monday evening with a Jackpot of 20,000.Tickets can be purchased in all the shops in the parish, through our ticket sellers on the ground  and also online.

Ladies Camogie and Football Club

Congratulations to our under 16 girls who defeated Cahir and knockavilla Kickhams in their first rounds of championship.

Our under 14D team travelled to Newport on Monday evening and came away with a win on their first outing after a very tight contest.

Our under 12 girls lost out to knockavilla in their first round of camóige championship

Our Junior ladies travelled to Templetuohy on Wednesday evening in the first round of football. After a great game they were unlucky to lose by 2 points
