Senior Club Fixtures

The Cahill cup final was played Wednesday evening in Holycross against Loughmore. Moycarkey played very well on the night and were unlucky not to win in full time.It took extra time to separate the teams with a John McGrath goal proving vital for Loughmore. Moycarkey can take a lot of positives from their performance on the night.

Our Minor B team play Thurles Sarsfields and our minor A team play Holycross in the first round of championship hurling this week.

Our Under 14s ladies football team headed to Navan last weekend to compete in the  Feile Peil na nOg in Navan and what a weekend they had. In total they played and won 5 matchs over the two days .On Friday evening the girls played Old Castle and Middlestown Armagh. On Saturday morning the girls played their host club St Ultans which set them up in a quarter final  against Fossa Kilarney which they won by 2 points. They played RGU Downpatrick in the semi final on Sunday morning and won well which led to an All Ireland final on Sunday eve against Miltownpass in Mayobridge.Things didn’t go their way in the final but the girls played excellent football and battled until the end in the intense heat. The girls had a remarkable weekend which wouldn’t have being possible without their mentors and famalies who made the long journey to support the girls.A special home coming greeted the girls on their return.Congratulations to everyone and thanks to all the host famalies in Navan who looked after all the girls.
