Under 16 Ladies Football

On Tuesday evening last Moycarkey Borris Under 16 team travelled to Bansha for the Tipperary Ladies Football Under 16 D Semi Final. Having suffered a heavy defeat the week previous Moycarkey Borris were travelling in hope but they took the game to Galtee Rovers on home ground. Galtee Rovers started strong with a lead of a goal and five points on the score board after the first quarter. However, Moycarkey Borris got back in to the game, scoring a couple of goals to leave just two points between the sides at the interval. When the game resumed the teams remained close again for the third quarter but as we entered the final stages, Galtee Rovers scored a goal which was the game changer and Galtee Rovers pulled ahead to take the game from Moycarkey Borris.

The Moycarkey-Borris panel - Megan Woodlock, Maria Lanigan, Claire Ryan, Caitlin Donnelly, Nicola Scott, Rachael Dowling, Saoirse O'Meara, Emma Shelly, Niamh Woodlock, Gemma Ryan, Lorna Ryan, Rachel Delaney, Jessica Hayes, Roisin Donnelly, Dorrianne Kelly, Molly Flanagan, Kathryn O’Meara, Zoe O'Meara, Cait Darmody, Amy McGovern, Emma Dowling, Amy Cummins, Nicole Gleeson, Queva O’Meara.

Under 14 Camogie

Moycarkey Borris Under 14 team hosted their second game in the Community Games Camogie Competition against Fethard. In cold wet wintery conditions the two teams played extremely well not allowing each other an opportunity and as the half whistle blew neither team had registered on the scoreboard. As the second half resumed it was all to play for and it was in the fifty seventh minute before the first and only score of the game for Fethard, a single point. Hard luck to Moycarkey Borris, their Community Games Competition ends here and best wishes to Fethard.

The Moycarkey-Borris panel - Emma Shelly, Michaela McKelvey, Roisin Donnelly, Zoe O’Meara, Queva O’Meara, Siobhan Carroll, Tasha Tully, Emma Dowling, Zoe McKenna, Lauryn O’Sullivan, Amy Cummins, Enya Maher, Emma O’Sullivan, Aoife Dunphy and Clodagh Fallon.

Under 12 Ladies Football
