Fundraising Table Quiz in Aid of Sean Doran

The club are holding a table quiz in Bannon's Two-Mile-Borris on Friday the 25th of April. All the proceeds from the night will go to the Sean Doran fund. All players have received tickets for this fundraising event and tickets can also be purchased from Rita Clohessy, Liam Hackett, and in Bannon's. Sean son of James Doran and Nicola Skehan has recently been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and this fund hopes to alleviate the financial burden on the family while Sean is hospitalised. The Doran Family are steeped in Moycarkey tradition with Sean's grandfather Tom being one of the longest serving goalies in the history of the club, his father James also playing in goals in recent years, his uncles playing at all levels in the club and his Aunt Siobhan playing for the Camogie Club. We would like to ask all members of the club to please get behind this fundraiser.

Mid Feile na nGael Final

Our under 14s had a very successful weekend when they secured the double in winning the 2014 Mid Peil and Feile na nGael. We overcame Holycross on Saturday in the quarter final which set us up for a semi final spot Sunday morning against old rivals Durlas Og. Moycarkey played some excellent hurling and after a great start beat Durlas og comfortably. The final was a more evenly contested affair and led by captain Jack Fallon we secured a well deserved victory on a scoreline of Moycarkey-Borris 2-12 J.K. Brackens 1-08. Congratulations and well to the panel and management team of Dermot Maher, Colm Ryan, Vincent Flood, Kevin Moran and Pat
