Annual Medal Presentation Night & Dinner Dance

This Saturday night brings the medal presentation & dinner dance which is being held in the Anner Hotel @ 9pm. Music by Celtic Swing. Guest for the night, All Ireland Champion Declan Fanning. MC is locally produced Daniel Kirby. All this for 25euro. A number of tickets still available from JJ Maher, Joe O Sullivan or Micheal Clohessy. All support appreciated!

New Club web site

Club supporters are asked to check out the new-look Moycarkey-Borris GAA club web site at The site is set up using the new GAA web template and will be continually updated throughout the coming months to include all the latest news, results, match reports as well as news of the Club lotto each week. Club Membership 2011

All club membership must be in before the end of March to club registrar John Kelly, it is the same as last year. Adult (non playing) 30euro, adult (playing) 40 euro, family (1 or 2 adults, children under 16), 60 euro, single u16's are 20 euro. There will be registration for juveniles starting Saturday morning 26th of February and running for the next 3 consecutive Saturdays from 10.30am to 12pm in clubrooms. it is very important that everyone has their membership paid up.

Scor Sinsear

Moycarkey Borris competed in four categories in Scor Sinsear which was held in Clonmore last Friday night before a packed audience. Moycarkey won the county honours in the Ballad Group and will continue to the Munster Semi-final in Cappoquin on Saturday the 5th of March. We wish the participants the best of luck in this competition and would like to thank all those who represented the club in the county final but were unlucky not to progress. We would also like to thank the huge support for the acts on the night and would ask for your continued support.

Scor na bPaisti

The Parish final of Scor na bPaisti will take place this Sunday in Littleton at 3pm. All primary school children living in the parish are eligible to take part. The following are the categories in which acts can participate: Solo Song, Ballad Group (group of 5 or less), Instrumental Music (group of 5 or less), Recitation, Figure Dance, Set Dance, Novelty Act (group of between 2 and 8) and Question time (will be judged individually).
