Moycarkey Borris GAA Club Notes - 11th April 2016

Mid Tipperary Junior Hurling League
Moycarkey Borris commenced their Hurling League on Saturday last in Littleton. Moycarkey started the game the stronger on the scoreboard scoring two goals seven points to Thurles Sarsfields four points. The second half was a different affair with Thurles Sarsfields the stronger on the score board adding a further fifteen points to Moycarkey Borris goal and five points. This added to the half time score meant that Moycarkey carried the day by three points, Moycarkey Borris 3-13 Thurles Sarsfields 0-19

County Under 21 Football Championship Semi Final
Moycarkey Borris are due to play Golden Kilfeacle in the County Under 21 Football Championship Semi Final next weekend, due to inclement weather conditions check out for fixture details

Hurling Wall
On Friday last the Hurling Wall became available to all members for use. All teams are asked to use the wall in their allocated training times while the grounds are been developed. Members should also use runners not boots on the surface.

Under 16
Congratulations to Moycarkey Borris Under 16A team on defeating Durlas Óg in the Tom Murphy & Sons Ltd Mid U16A Football.

Under 14
Commiserations to Moycarkey Borris Under 14 who were defeated by Durlas Óg in the Stakelum Office Supplies Mid U14 A Football in Littleton on Thursday last.

Under 12
Our Under 12's were out this week with group 1 playing Holycross and group 4 playing Durlas Og, both games away on Tuesday and Wednesday. Group 1 went down to a stronger Holycross on Tuesday and group 4 were the wrong side of a good tight match with Durlas Og and but for the Durlas Og keeper the result could have gone the other way.

Under 8
Moycarkey Borris Under 8 team took part in an Under 8 football blitz in Dr. Morris Park on Friday last. Well done to all the team who had a fantastic evening.

Camogie and Ladies Football Club
Membership is now due for all members and forms are available from Helen Dowling or your manager.

Congratulations to our Under 12 Camogie team who defeated Gortnahoe in Gortnahoe on Friday last.
