Moycarkey-Borris 3-19 Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams 1-10
Moycarkey-Borris have progressed to the next round of the County Challenge Cup following a comprehensive victory over Kickhams at Dundrum on Friday evening. Kickhams started the game well with two points in the opening minute but a Pat Ralph goal in the second minute kick-started a period of dominance where Moycarkey scored 1-4 without reply. The Kickhams managed to work a goal of their own in the 18th minute to reduce the deficit to just two points but Moycarkey kicked on again, scoring three unanswered points to ensure an interval lead of five points, 1-9 to 1-4.

Kickhams needed a good start to the second half but alas it was Moycarkey who scored two quick points followed by another Pat Ralph goal to double Moycarkey’s lead. Game over. Both teams emptied the bench in the second half and one of the few highlights of the game thereafter saw substitute James O’Gorman work a one-two with Kieran Morris before O’Gorman finished expertly to the net after a strong run through the centre of the Kickhams defence. By the end, the deficit was 15 points – 3-19 to 1-10.
