Mid Tipperary Junior Hurling League - Gortnahoe Glengoole 1-16 Moycarkey Borris 2-9

After an opening victory in the Mid Tipperary Junior Hurling League Moycarkey Borris hosted Gortnahoe Glengoole on Friday last. There was a strong breeze in Littleton and this was a factor in the game. Gortnahoe had the aid of the elements in the first half and scored five unanswered points before Moycarkey opened their scoring with a Ciaran Maher point as the game entered the second quarter. Moycarkey added a further two points by Ciaran Maher while Gortnahoe added a further goal and four points to go in at half time Gortnahoe Glengoole 1-9 Moycarkey Borris 0-3

After a goal and point by Ciaran Maher in the opening stages of the second half, a Moycarkey Borris comeback looked imminent. In the 34th minute, JJ Darmody raised the green flag for Moycarkey and with a two point margin, points were traded by the teams in the thirty sixth minute. Moycarkey’s Paudie Doran scored the next point following quickly by an equalising point by from Timmy Ryan. Paudie Doran gave Moycarkey the lead in the twelfth minute and as the game entered the final quarter the teams traded points. The final quarter however saw Gortnahoe register five unanswered points to take the victory - Gortnahoe Glengoole 1-16 Moycarkey Borris 2-9
